UK's leading medical schools.
The founding
members, from the University of Leeds School of Medicine*, are Dr
Chris Williams, Professor David Cottrell, Dr Pat Harkin and Dr Sue

Dr
Pat Harkin graduated from Leeds School of Medicine in 1981
and entered pathology the following year. Histopathology,
like many laboratory disciplines, has always had a strong
IT element and he soon became involved in developing the
UK’s first computer-based learning suite for undergraduate
pathology. His
pathology software was taken up by many other medical schools
in Britain and abroad, and he has also helped develop education
material for use in paediatrics, psychiatry, veterinary
medicine and dentistry. He now works full time in the School
of Medicine administration, taking responsibility for the
integration of C & IT into the curriculum and is involved
in developing the University’s e-learning strategy.
